In 2024, our organization conducted a 5 month comprehensive Tailoring and Aari Embroidery Training Program for ten women from our community, primarily focusing on widows and deserted women facing economic challenges. This skill development initiative provided participants with hands-on training in both basic and advanced tailoring techniques as well as the intricate art of Aari embroidery, a traditional craft with contemporary market value. Throughout the program, participants progressed from learning fundamental stitches to creating complete garments and decorative pieces, gradually building their confidence and expertise. The training room was alive with creativity as these determined women mastered new skills that will enable them to achieve financial independence. The accompanying photos capture pivotal moments from the training sessions, showcasing the participants’ journey from beginners to skilled artisans ready to enter the workforce or start their own small businesses.
