Mrs. B. Premalatha, Managing Trustee of DEET, participated in the India Learning Exchange 2026 organised by Women First on 3–4 August 2026 in Madurai. The two day programme brought together partner organisations for collective learning, reflection, and knowledge sharing.
Mrs. Premalatha actively engaged in peer learning discussions, expert sessions on SHG management, enterprise development, financial sustainability, and market access. These sessions provided valuable insights that will further strengthen DEET’s women led livelihood initiatives.
During the event, Women First appreciated DEET’s project implementation efforts and acknowledged the organisation’s commitment to quality, accountability, and impact in women centred development. This recognition serves as strong encouragement for DEET’s continued work in empowering women through sustainable livelihood programmes.
The concluding exhibition offered an excellent platform for partners to showcase ongoing initiatives and learn from each other’s experiences. Mrs. Premalatha’s participation enabled DEET to contribute meaningfully to the exchange of ideas and best practices.
DEET extends sincere thanks to the Women First team for their warm hospitality, thoughtful hosting, and seamless coordination throughout the event. The clear guidance and support provided ensured a productive and enriching experience.
DEET looks forward to continued collaboration with Women First in advancing women led development and expanding opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
